Grab your Santa hat, jingle bells and cocoa! On Saturday, Nov. 22, North Hills will host its annual Christmas Tree-Lighting ceremony at The Commons at North Hills, which will be transformed into an old-fashioned "Town Square" during the holidays.
At exactly 6 p.m., during the Tree Lighting Celebration, a huge Christmas tree will be lit in front of spectators, who will include Santa Claus, carolers, families, friends and North Hills shoppers. Many of these people also will be participating in the first ever Sip and Stroll at North Hills to be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Merchants will provide refreshments for shoppers as they browse the holiday selection and sales.
During the Lighting Celebration at 6 p.m., you could also capture photos of a theatrical presentation of "Twas the Night Before Christmas," featuring local actor Ira David Wood as the storyteller. This presentation will also be held at The Commons. The Commons is the site of a holiday greens market, Santa House, choirs performances, hospitality stations, and more this holiday season. It will be a good gathering place for family and friends in between their holiday shopping.
