RALEIGH, N.C. -

A Warren County Sheriff's Deputy is expected to appear in a Wake County court room today after being accused of inappropriately touching women at a shopping center.

As it stands now 40-year-old Cornelius Davis is charged with sexual battery in connection with two separate incidents in the Brier Creek shopping area.

Warren County Sheriff Johnnie Williams tells NBC17 that Davis has been a deputy with his office for a little more than two years and all of this comes as a big surprise.

Davis was released from jail on a $10,000 bond on News Years Day.

Sheriff Johnnie Williams says he is sending two internal investigators to Raleigh today.

Raleigh police say there may be additional victims. They're asking anyone who believes the suspect may have had inappropriate contact with them to call Raleigh detective T.J. Ouellette at 919-431-1383.
