RALEIGH, N.C. -

This being North Carolina, some of the food for the Governor's Inaugural Ball is being catered by two barbecue restaurants.

Up to 5,000 people are expected to attend the ball Friday night in Raleigh. They'll be fed by chefs from 13 restaurants coming in from Morehead City to Valle Crucis and points in between.

The fans of Eastern-style can count on Wilber's Barbecue in Goldsboro. The ketchup-based Western style is supplied by Hursey's Bar-B-Q in Burlington.

The Burlington Times-News reported that co-owner Chris Hursey was asked to cater the event a couple of weeks ago. Hursey said the committee selecting the catering was interested in picking family owned restaurants from small communities.
