Another candidate to lead the North Carolina Republican Party has dropped out of the race.
Wake County party chairman David Robinson said Wednesday he is withdrawing from the field. In an e-mail to supporters, he didn't say why he was leaving the race. He didn't immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
The remaining candidates are former Raleigh mayor Tom Fetzer, former Guilford County chairman Marcus Kindley and former Lee County commissioner Chad Adams.
Another hopeful - Woody White of Wilmington - dropped out of the race two weeks ago and threw his support to Fetzer.
The GOP will elect a replacement to Linda Daves in June at its state convention. Daves announced in January she wouldn't seek another two-year term.
