CARY, N.C. -

A lot of heavy wind and rain swept through Cary late Tuesday afternoon, but the storm did not do a lot of damage.

Around six p.m., there was a report of a funnel cloud near US 1 and Cary Parkway, but the twister did not touch down.

Cary officials say at least two trees fell in town, including one on Jenks Carpenter Road that blocked a lane of traffic.

"It's actually a pretty huge tree," said Cary resident Tony Sloan. "Probably about three months ago we had another storm and a large branch of that tree, which we actually was a tree itself, had fallen on our front porch. So we're kind of glad this time it fell into the road instead of the house."

There were no reported injuries in Cary during the storm.
