WAKE COUNTY, N.C. -

Students heading to Wakefield High School had to wait a little longer for their buses to arrive Monday morning.

According to the high school's website, there was a bus delay impacting all buses. Buses were on a one to two hour delay.

Greg Thomas, spokesman for WCPSS, said that over the weekend, air was let out on the tires of 33 buses that serve Wakefield schools. The valve stems were removed, but it seems that there was no damage to any of the tires.

Buses from other districts have been called in to cover the routes and students will experience a couple hour delays.
