Raleigh, N.C. (June 24, 2009) - Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic (ROC) is pleased to announce the opening of its orthopaedic After Hours Clinic. As part of Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic's ongoing commitment to provide high quality and convenient orthopaedic care available, ROC now offers an after hours clinic for prompt, expert treatment for a variety of acute orthopaedic injuries for patients of all ages.
Raleigh Orthopaedic After Hours Clinic is located at the ROC's main location at 3515 Glenwood Avenue. Clinic hours for walk-in patients are weekdays from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
The After Hours Clinic is staffed with certified physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) with extensive training in orthopaedic care. The PA or NP will examine and evaluate the patient and prescribe a treatment plan. Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic's board-certified orthopaedic surgeons are always on call and available to assist and review x-rays or see the patient, if needed. At Raleigh Orthopaedic After Hours Clinic, patients can receive on-site x-rays, MRI scans and casting as well as direct access to orthopaedic specialists and referrals for rehabilitation and physical therapy.
"Raleigh Orthopaedic After Hours Clinic is unique because it strictly deals with orthopaedic conditions and injuries," said Karl Stein, ROC executive director. "The After Hours Clinic will provide a service to the community offering specialized care, shorter patient wait times, as well as significantly lower costs than a hospital emergency room."
