RALEIGH, N.C. -

Blues icon Delbert McClinton will headline Raleigh Wide Open this year, Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker said Monday.

Meeker said because of budget cuts, the festival's budget has been cut from $200,000 to $100,000.

The money does not come from public funding, but from business sponsorships.

This will mark the fourth year of the festival designed to celebrate downtown Raleigh. The event will also mark the opening of City Plaza at the 500 block of Fayetteville Street.
