Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker has announced his run for a fifth two-year term in office, but he will face opposition in the October election.

He has some competition. Mark Enloe has also filed paperwork for candidacy.

According to Enloe's website, he lived in Raleigh as a child, returned to graduate from North Carolina State University, and has worked in Research Triangle Park as a database administrator.

Enloe's website argues that Raleigh needs a change in leadership.

Meeker said that he wants to continue to guide Raleigh through the recession and help rejuvenate the economy.
