Holly Springs Brother and Sister Study Around the World

Holly Springs teenagers, Brian and Alexis Proulx, are currently traveling and studying around the world.

Brian, a 2008 graduate of Middle Creek High School, currently lives in Beijing, China and is teaching English at the New Day Learning Center. He is also volunteering at the New Day Orphanage where he resides. Brian is accepted into the Beijing Language Institute, where he will be studying Mandarin Chinese from March 2010 to March 2011. After successful completion in this program, Brian plans to continue his college studies in China at the University of Beijing.

Alexis, a junior at Holly Springs High School, is living and studying in Bordeaux, France through the AFS Foreign Exchange Program. She is attending Lycee Francois Magendie, a high school located in the Bordeaux City Center. Alexis plans to return to North Carolina to finish high school, then return to Europe for college.

Brian and Alexis' parents are Ken and Jen Proulx, Holly Springs, NC; their grandparents are Kenneth and Joyce Proulx, Castorland, NY and June Storie and Ed Chapman, Canton, NY.
