After the 2008 Presidential Nominations, one question frequently asked is, “What’s next for Sarah Palin?” Palin, Governor of Alaska, was chosen by Republican nominee, John McCain, as his running mate during the election process. Before being chosen as his running mate, Palin was not a very well-known person. When chosen, people characterized her as having no political experience and said that she was not ready for the task.
Lately, there has been some talk of her wanting to run for president in 2012. Is this true? According to www.dailymail.co.uk, “Her inner circle say[s] the mother-of-five is likely to serve out her final two years as Alaska governor and then focus full time on a bid to become America’s first woman president.”
Will Governor Palin be our first female president? If she works at it, then she will be running for president in 2012. In order to run for president, she must first find a way into the U.S. Senate. She must do so because she has to gather experience from a national level to understand foreign-policy.
Right now, Palin does not have enough experience to make it to the White House to become president. According to www.slate.com, “Over the next four years, though, she’ll have plenty of time to bone up on Russo-Georgian relations, missile defense, and her least favorite Supreme Court decisions.” Right now, citizens are just wondering if Palin will be running for Governor of Alaska again in 2010, or if she will be running for president in 2012.

You are wrong about all these "surveys". But enjoy yourself 'cause it ain't gonna last. Your hero is stacking his cabinet with Clinton retreads and Chicago thugs. Is this the change we can believe in? http://www.sarah-palin-2012.blogspot.com

There are 3 joys I get every time I think of what happened: 1) Obama is president elect and more and more Republicans are seeing Palin for what she really is; 2) Surveys just out reveal that it was Palin--not McCain--who blew the election. The Hillary women who were upset with Obama and the press gave McCain the lead for a while, including a period of time after he selected the blank slate. But the surveys are showing that right after Palin gave her "lipstick" speech at the convention, over 80 %--that's right 80%--switched back to Obama. I love that thought--so close, and clueless Sarah blew it. And 3) I love listening to Hannity and Rush since the election. They sound like madmen. For you North Carolinian's...remember the movie Cape Fear? Well, Hannity and Rush are so beside themselves to have an African American president that they ramble on just like De Niro did in the final drowning scene. It's wonderful.

Cat said: Palin ignored the fact that people were shouting “Kill him” at her rallies. That is probably due to the fact that no one was. Although "Let's stone her, old school" was yelled about Palin. This "Kill him" story is a myth. The secret service did NOT say it happened. And nothing Gov. Palin said was untrue. Bill Ayers has now collaborated this. He says Obama is a family friend and he held the original Obama political career fundraiser at his house. Does this make Obamaa terrorist? Of course not. It makes him incredibly naive. And disengenious when asked to explain. http://patterico.com/2008/10/14/nobody-yelled-kill-him-about-obama-at-a-mccain-or-palin-rally/

Re: Cat Allegation: Palin ignored the fact that people were shouting “Kill him” at her rallies. Fact: According to the Times Leader, October 17th: SCRANTON – The agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton said allegations that someone yelled “kill him” when presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s name was mentioned during Tuesday’s Sarah Palin rally are unfounded. The Scranton Times-Tribune first reported the alleged incident on its Web site Tuesday and then again in its print edition Wednesday. The first story, written by reporter David Singleton, appeared with allegations that while congressional candidate Chris Hackett was addressing the crowd and mentioned Obama’s name a man in the audience shouted “kill him." News organizations including ABC, The Associated Press, The Washington Monthly and MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann reported the claim, with most attributing the allegations to the Times-Tribune story. Agent Bill Slavoski said he was in the audience, along with an undisclosed number of additional secret service agents and other law enforcement officers and not one heard the comment. “I was baffled,” he said after reading the report in Wednesday’s Times-Tribune. ______________________________ I assume that since you lead with that piece of libel, it was "the best" you had. Now here's a few things about your candidate: His known associates include a radical preacher who incited hatred against America from the pulpit. A former associate, Anthony Rezko, has been charged with numerous felonies and is now attempting to plea bargain with federal investigator, Patrick Fitzgerald, who is asking Rezko about Nahdmi Auchi. I'm pretty sure you don't have a clue about the significance of that. Auchi was a Baathist billionaire who sold arms to Saddam Hussein. When he was refused entry into America he sought out Tony Rezko. Rezko arranged with an "unknown" member of the Chicago State government to get Auchi into the states. It turns out Auchi had loaned Rezko $3.5 million. Twenty-three days later Rezko and Barack Obama entered into a real estate deal that saved Obama $300,000. Obama also was the only politician of any consequence in Chicago to endorse Alexi Giannoullis for state treasurer, a banker with such questionable associates (Rezko and a mobster named Michael "Jaws" Giorango, a Chicagoan twice convicted of bookmaking and promoting prostitution. Giannoulis was such political poison that not even the soon-to be indicted governor of the state would be within an area code of him. Obama, however, gave him a rousing endorsement as a man of high character, even though he had never voted. Perhaps most despicably, sealed divorce records or Obama's political opponents were leaked to the press. such records are rarely sealed and generally to protect an innocent third party, such as a child. This did not stop Obama from capitalizing on this breach of ethics. So don't tell me about your disdain for Palin making light of Obama's efforts as a "community organizer". The man has been surrounded by thugs and not surprisingly come out the better for it. 3. Rezko cultivated Obama: Rezko offered Barack Obama a job in 1990, which Obama declined. Still, Rezko persisted, hiring him for legal work and hosting in 2003 an early fundraiser that, writes David Mendell in Obama: From Promise to Power, proved "instrumental in providing Obama with seed money" for his nascent U.S. Senate campaign. Then, on June 15, 2005, just twenty-three days after receiving Auchi's $3.5 million, Rezko partnered with Obama in a real estate deal: Some of Palin's rallies had 30,000 people attend. Do you know where those people were standing? Were they in earshot?

Both Henry Kissenger and BILL CLINTON have attested to Palin's high intelligence and uncanny political instincts. Lorne Michaels was stunned by Palin's ability to congenially walk into the "belly of the liberal beast" and connect with everyone effortlessly. How formidable are Palin's intangibles? Alec Baldwin, one of the left's most vocal proponents committed time in his article in The Huffington Post to praise Palin. This should not be hard for those who seem to take a viscious pleasure in skewering the woman: If it comes down to having to make a choice between who a republican is going to listen to about Palin's political prowness, and that choice is between anonymous libs on discussion groups, rabid members of the mainstream media like Keith Oberman, vacuous social critics like Bill Maher or a former Secretary of State and a former two-term president idolized by democrats, republicans are going to go with Kissenger and Clinton every time. Democratics would be wise to do the same.

Palin ignored the fact that people were shouting "Kill him" at her rallies. According to the Secret Service, death threats to the Obamas increased after every rally. Palin did nothing to calm people down and appeared to encourage people to make monkey noises when she said Obama. She incited hatred against the President elect. She mocked his work as a community organiser (just look at YouTube - plenty of clips there). She insult Obama and many other Americans about where "real Americans" live - apparently not in cities. That is just some of what she did and it is all documented. There is more out there if you really want to know more.

Hey Daivie, I don't recall any vicious unfounded attacks Palin made on Obama. Can you be more specific with some details?
By Daivie on 11/27 08:09 AM
Sarah Palin is the most repulsive, grotesque reactionary to enter the national political scene since Spiro Agnew. Her vicious, unfounded attacks on Obama turned off millions of potential voters who were looking for strategy instead of venom; strategy to help the economy and strengthen our security. Instead, this nitwit had nothing of substance to offer and only fired up the most base, hateful instincts of the lunatic right wing. And what is worse, McShame said that she was the country's most popular governor and had twice the experience of Obama and Biden combined. No wonder why Republicans are more disrespected now than at any time in their history.

Sarah Palin could be president today if she had the cult like support Obama has with the press. Unlike Obama, she knows there aren't 57 states, she knows the bomb was dropped in Japan, not Hawaii, and she knows the surge worked. Like Hillary said: Obama gave a speech and now he's president thanks to the press and the billion dollars he raised. Palin should stay out of the senate cesspool and run for president as Governor. Obama was the winner this time; the press was the big loser. Millions of people have canceled their subcriptions to their paper and magazines. The press is now as big a slime bucket operation as congress. No easy feat. Now enjoy your Messiah and watch the sea level go down as you wait for the new tingle to go up your leg.

Sarah Palin did NOT say “The news makes me sad...so I don’t watch it.” That was the snippy title some author chose to report her saying: "At those times on the campaign trail when sometimes it’s easy to get a little bit discouraged, when, you know, when you happen to turn on the news when your campaign staffers will let you turn on the news … Usually they’re like “Oh my gosh, don’t watch. You’re going to, you know, you’re going to get depressed.” (Sarah Palin at a North Carolina fundraiser) She WANTED to watch the news. The staffers discouraged her because of the campaign. Campaigns are the most grueling, intense experience imaginable. The candidate needs to stay positive. As far as Obama giving Americans the same kind of health care he and Pelosi, Barney Frank, Ted Kennedy, etc. have been enjoying for themselves and their families all these years,it ain't gonna happen. Obama is back petaling like crazy. Read: http://sarah-palin-2012.blogspot.com/2008/11/obama-dont-expect-much-anytime-soon.html http://sarah-palin-2012.blogspot.com

WE HAVE MORE TO DO: Democrat Jim Martin is in a runoff against Bush Republican Saxby Chambliss for the Senate seat from Georgia. Bush's Saxby Chambliss voted against spending a few measly dollars to provide health care coverage for Georgia, and Americas needy children. But he supported wasting hundreds of billions of your dollars, and the life BLOOD of Americas finest on an unnecessary war in Iraq. At a time when 47 million of you have no health insurance coverage, and over 100 million of you with insurance are just one major illness away from complete financial destruction. Bush and Saxby Chambliss voted to make the heart break of bankruptcy relief even harder for all of you to use. You see, Bush and Saxby Chambliss, and his family don't have to worry about their health care coverage. They have the finest health care coverage your tax money can buy for them. Courtesy of you. The American Tax payer. In fact, no one but the super rich can afford the health care coverage you the tax payer provide for Saxby Chambliss, and his family for FREE! with your tax dollars. He supposedly works for you. But he doesn't think you and your family should have access to the type of taxpayer supported FREE health care that you provide for him, and his loved ones for FREE!. Doesn't that just make you BURRING MAD! Vote for JIM MARTIN for US senator from Georgia. Vote for JIM Martin who will be on your side. Vote for JIM MARTIN who will work with President Obama and a majority congress for you. Vote for JIM MARTIN most of all for your-self, your family's, friends, and loved ones. Vote for JIM MARTIN for a better America, and a better World. Don't let Saxby Chambliss make a chump out of you by tricking you into voting against your own best interest. Saxby chambliss is NOT! on your side. He's not one of you. He is on George Bush's side. And we all know what a catastrophe the Bush Chambliss administration has been the past 8 years. Contact all your family and friends and do every thing you can to see to it that JIM MARTIN and GEORGIANS! take that senate seat back for Georgia, and America. No matter where you live in America. This is important to you. President Obama will need all the help, and power you can give him to try and fix this catastrophic mess that the Corrupt Bush Chambliss administration has created. As I said before you will have to vote in overwhelming numbers to overcome the Bush Chambliss "Let Them Eat Cake" vote fraud machine. Vote early if you can. Then help everyone you can get to the polls and vote for JIM MARTIN. You and your loved ones don't have to be Saxby Chambliss's victims anymore. I know you will get it done. Just like you did for President Obama. God bless all of you jacksmith - WORKING CLASS... :-)

Since we have only had 2 presidents in the last 48 years (Kennedy and obama) go directly from the Senate to the White House, Sarah Palin would be much better off remaining governor of Alaska. We have had a lot more governors elected, none of whom had foreign policy experience. A basis knowledge of foreign policy is important, but you have to remember, we have an entire State Department that handles the details. What Palin has to do in the short term is campaign on behalf of Saxby Chambliss in Georgia, she'll be addressing the Conservative Political Action Conference in DC during February 2009, and address as many energy, and climate change conferences as she can. Then campaign hard for GOP candidates in 2010, we know she draw huge crowds, and that is a plus for any campaign. There are rumors of a multimillion dollar book deal, and she need to take full advantage of that. Naturally, she'll have to devote long hours to studying foreign policy, healthy policy, and a multitude of other issues. But, stay out of the DC cesspool.

Actually, if Sarah Palin does want to become president in the future, she needs more political experience. Being governor right now, isn't helping her become president. She isn't familiar with foreign policy. To become president, you have to know about it. The front seat of knowing that information is being on the senate. She could easily be in the senate to help her become president in the future. Before John McCain chose her as his running mate, nobody knew who she was. I, personally had no idea who the governor of Alaska was until this election, nor did I care to know. What has Palin done for Alaska to make it any better of a state? Absolutely nothing. She has no idea what she can do to make the United States a better country. She also needs to learn what the 7 continents are! Also, her quote "The news makes me sad...so I don't watch it." If she doesn't watch the news, then she is not properly informed. Why would you want a president/VP that does not know what is going on in the world, or let alone, her own town?
By AMike on 11/19 08:41 PM
"In order to run for president, she must first find a way into the U.S. Senate". Sorry, but this is totally wrong. Whilst the Senate certainly needs a dose of Sarah, Sarah doesn't need the Senate! She certainly doesn't need to be any sort of "Washington insider" or a neo-con. They are the people that we DON'T want for President.
