CARY, N.C. -

The roundtable discussion will provide Perdue with some economic insight when it comes to job creation during the tough ecomomy.

She may be facing a budget shortfall of $1.6 billion or more according to budget analysts.

While Perdue was in Charlotte, her transition advisory groups wrapped up meetings in the Triangle.

At Western Wake Technical Community College in Cary, education advocates brainstormed budget issues like school infrastructure and teacher salaries.

The group will make written recommendations to Perdue's transition team December 8th.

In all, 14 separate groups heard from state cabinet agencies and then discussed programs.

One of Perdue's most trusted advisers, Norris Tolson shared his take on the advisory groups and roundtable discussions.

"She wants to hear what other people have to say. We'll sift through all that input and create a very significant agenda. But she already has a pretty good idea of what she wants to work on and what she wants to do," said Tolson.
