The RBC Center rocked to a packed house last night thanks not only to the Carolina Hurricanes win over the Ottawa Senators 2-1 but also thanks to the presence of reigning American Idol, David Cook, as he signed autographs and met fans prior to the game.  

Cook was available to visit with fans from 6pm-6:45pm, just 45 minutes.  But, that didn't stop many from running to get into line with even just 10 minutes left to spare.

I, too, was one of those fans (not the "running" ones).  The only words I spoke were, "Hi, David.  So nice to meet you."  What I really wanted to do was act like a silly school-girl and say, "I love you, Man!" when really it's his music that I love.  Even still, I had 30 seconds to come up with just exactly what I wanted to say and what I said was the best I could do.
