Co-Founder Adrienne Kallweit says SeekingSitters is thrilled to be recognized by CNN. "Safety, Reliability and Convenience have been a priority for our company since we got started and we are excited about the opportunity to bring our service nationwide. It is great to know that we are helping families across the US as well as providing a great business opportunity for other entrepreneur minded moms and dads."

SeekingSitters is a full service babysitting referral service that does all of the work for families: they find, interview and pre-screen the sitters and then their in-house private investigators perform a hands-on intense background screening on each sitter.

SeekingSitters began in 2005 in Tulsa, Oklahoma when parents Adrienne and David Kallweit discovered a need for safe, reliable, convenient babysitting.

Adrienne was a young mom running her own private investigation firm when she discovered the need for safe, reliable child care. While looking to hire her son's preschool teacher for private use, she ran her background check and discovered a many charges that weighed on the individual's character. She pulled her son from the school and started screening sitters for her family. Soon after that, she and David started SeekingSitters in Tulsa with the goal of going nationwide.

They formed SeekingSitters Franchise Systems, Inc. in 2006 and started franchising their concept to other areas and as of August 1st they have 29 locations in 10 states with three more locations set to open next month. All franchise owners are also parents of young children who personally understand the need for reliable and safe child care. SeekingSitters Franchise System has been experiencing fast growth nationwide as well as providing a business opportunity for business minded moms and dads.

SeekingSitters has also been featured on "The Big Idea" with Donny Deutsch, www.foxnews.com and Entrepreneur Magazine. They have appeared on news stations throughout the country including Dallas, Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles, St. Louis, San Diego and Raleigh.

Local franchise owner, Tammy Kennedy, has been featured on ABC News Channel 11 and NBC 17 providing insight on the SeekingSitters Franchise system, parenting and background investigations. Tammy is a mother of three boys and has held forums on topics such as "women owned businesses", "mom-entrepreneurs" and "juggling it all as a mother and business owner".
