CLAYTON, N.C. -
A 13-year-old boy reported missing Thursday near his home in Clayton was located by the Wake County Sheriff's Office K-9 Team.
Christian Chavez was reported missing after being last seen around 5:45 p.m. in his backyard at 1009 Pine Trail, where he was searching for his dog that had run off.
Wake County Sheriff's Deputies searched the area of Clemmons State Park, which is near his home.
Police say Christian appears to be in good health.

did they also locate the missing dog?

I am glad they found the young man, but the officers searched Clemmons Educational State Forest. It is not a state park. Thank you.
