Dakota Walker Lee Melton, 21, of 324 Brook Arbor Dr. in Cary, was arrested on Thursday and charged with indecent liberties with a child and second degree kidnapping.
The alleged victim is a minor from Sanford, whom police said met Melton on the Internet.

According to warrant records, the boy's parents reported him missing on July 13.
The paperwork says they found information on the boy's Myspace.com profile that led them to believe he was conversing online with an adult man.
On July 24 the man told investigators that his main income source was performing sexual acts online with his web cam; he said his roommate did the same thing.
The man told police he had seen his roommate bring younger boys to the apartment, according to the filing, but believed they were all 16 or older.
According to the warrant, when police informed the man they were taking his computer, the man called his roommate and said they were taking his computer as well. His roomate said, "If they find my hard drive then I am screwed."
Police confiscated five computer hard drives, one DVD, a camera and two camera memory cards.
Melton is being held on a $20,000 bond in the Wake County Public Safety Center.
According to the Cary Police, the maximum fine for each crime for second degree kidnapping is 74 months in jail, and 49 months for indecent liberties with a child.
