A Wake County judge will not unseal warrants related to the murder of a Cary mother just yet.

The first of those seals in the Nancy Cooper investigation was set to expire over the weekend, but the District Attorney's office filed a motion to have the seal extended another month.
Monday, Judge Donald Stephens opted to keep the warrants sealed, but not the entire 30 days.
Stephens said all three warrants will become public record on September second.
"In the absence of some extremely unusual circumstance, I will not entertain another motion to extend," said Stephens.
That wasn't what the District Attorney was hoping for.
"Hopefully we'll be in a position by that time that the release of the information won't adversely effect the investigation," said Colon Willoughby.
The judge had previously ruled that the warrants should stay sealed to protect the integrity of the investigation; this new ruling seemingly puts a little more pressure on investigators to act quickly.
