Starting Wednesday, some viewers may experience problems with NBC17 programming.
Both the NBC17-WNCN Analog and Digital transmitters will be off the air during daytime hours for about one week, beginning Wednesday.
WRAL is changing its antenna on the tower shared by area TV stations, and all stations must turn off the transmitters while the workers are at the top. The work only affects the digital signals for WRAL, WRAZ, WLFL, and WRDC, in addition to both of NBC17's air signals. The analog signals and DTV for the other stations will remain on the air.
NBC17 programming on Time-Warner systems in the major cities will run as normal, but smaller cable systems and both satellite providers will be affected and will not receive the WNCN signal. The schedule below indicates the times we will be off the air for the next week.
NBC17 appreciates viewers' understanding during this temporary construction and will be back on the air as soon as possible. Children's programming on Saturday mornings will not be affected.

I have had numerous outages with channel 17 (I get you as a local channel through Directv). Is this work still being done?or is there another problem that I need to worry about or be in contact with my provider?
