APEX, N.C.

What is now a parking lot in front of the Apex Chamber of Commerce, will this coming Saturday and every Saturday until November 7th, be transformed into the Apex Farmers Market. Each Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm, there will be vendors selling all manner of items, beef products, honey, hot dogs, bread, cakes, pies, cookies all made from scratch. There will be plants, flowers and shrubs for Spring planting. All vegetables in season will be sold at this years market.

We are looking for our largest group of craft vendors at this years market. There will be pottery, jewelry, wooden crafts, artwork and much more, all hand-made. The requirement for all vendors is that what ever is sold must be grown by the vendor or one of its cooper, and all crafts must be made by the vendor. Cost for a vendorspace is $10 per Saturday. Also, the vendor must furnish its own tent, table and chairs or other equipment they use. Electricity will be furnished by the market.

J. C. Knowles, Apex Ambassador and Manager of the market says, "We will throughout the market year plan several exhibits, displays and demostration. For our last market day on November 7th., we are in the planning stage to have a "Chili Cookoff." Already we have several to sign up for this event. We are also planning live music from time to time.

If you are interested in becoming a vendor at the Apex Farmers Market, contact J. C. Knowles at 919-772-5472 or email at jcknowlers@nc.rr.com.
