WAKE COUNTY, N.C. -
Starting next week, traditional calendar schools in Wake County will join their year-round counterparts by letting students out one hour early every Wednesday.
The goal is to give teachers a chance to work on strategy for improved learning environments.
Year-round schools started the program seven weeks ago.
Check back later this afternoon for updated information on the early dismissals.
