On a crisp fall morning, I had the chance to visit the N.C. State Fair for the first time this year. Despite the economic crunch that we are all experiencing, the fairgrounds seemed to be buzzing with excitement.
Just take a stroll down one of the main thoroughfares and you'll hear "Pick a prize, any prize, if I don't correctly guess your age," or "Stop by the Lion's Club for the BEST Lemonade at the Fair." You name it, you hear it.
I took in the 12 O'Clock performance by the Wells Family Band; while there was already a good crowd before I got there, it seemed to multiply as the performance continued on.
Take a look at some of the photos that I took during my short time at the Fair yesterday.
"Take Time for a Good Time" and enjoy the 2008 N.C. State Fair as it continues through Oct. 26. And don't forget to add your own pictures and video to the MyNC State Fair blog.
