Five properties received approval Tuesday to join Raleigh's list of historic landmarks.
City Council unanimously approved adding five properties to the list: the Arkansas Delaware & Vermont Connecticut Royster Confectioners Building at 207 Fayetteville Street, the former Saint Monica's School at 15 North Tarboro Street, the James S. Morgan House at 1015 Oberlin Road, Chavis Park Carousel and the David and Ernestine Weaver House at 1203 E. Lane Street.
All the properties will now receive signs designating them as historic sites from the Raleigh Historic District Commission.
No changes to the buildings' appearances or exterior features can be made without permission from the City.
With these additions, Raleigh now has 141 historic landmarks.
