Perez and her team have one dozens of medals since they began five years ago in competitions such as the AAU Junior Olympic Games and the World Jump Rope Championship.
Now, Perez's name is hanging with jump ropes' finest at the Armature Athletic Union headquarters in Orlando, Florida.
She said her team made it all happens.
"I really feel like the reason I was considered for this wonderful honor is that my kids have done such a great job in advancing the sport themselves. They are the ambassadors. They are the ones that go to all the competitions and practices," Perez said.
Perez and her athletes are also fighting with other teams to make jump rope a sport in the Olympics.
