APEX, N.C. -
The New Hope Valley Railway train will soon get a caboose.
This all-steal cupola caboose was originally owned by the Virginia Railroad and then acquired by Norfolk and Western Railway. Now, it will be heading to Bonsal to become part of the New Hope Valley Railway.
Bob Crowley with NHVR said they will move the caboose by truck and then a crane will lift it onto the tracks.
"The cranes will make it look like there's a caboose flying through the air," Crowley said.
The caboose will be picked up at 214 Park Drive in Archdale, N.C. Monday, November 24 at 8 a.m.
