An Apex man is trying to help consumers fight the recession by selling Christmas trees at a low cost.
Danny Schardt has a barnload of North Carolina mountain grown Christmas trees behind his Kelly Road home.
This is the first year he is selling them and says he wanted to set a price that would "help people out" in these tough economic times.
As a result, he decided to charge $25 for the trees, which average about 6 feet in height. He also has a few eight foot trees for $35.
Danny is so new to the Christmas tree selling business that he doesn't even have a tree net machine.
To make up for it, he will deliver the tree in his pick-up truck to any home with-in about a 5 mile radius of his home at 2324 Kelly Road.
On a few handmade signs along his property line on Kelly Road indicate where the bargain Christmas tree are located, making it a bit tough to find if you don't know what you are looking for.
If you have any questions about when he is available, Danny can be reached at 303-4897.
