RALEIGH, N.C.
A local Raleigh resident and soldier showed off a banner that was sent to his battalion during his time in Iraq. Downtown festival Raleigh Wide Open featured the banner that was signed by thousands of Raleigh residents as a way to show support and gratitude for the men and women stationed abroad. Upon their return, the troops also received Freedom Blankets made by supporters across the country.
