First Night Raleigh performer Kim Armstrong will bring his show, "A Popular Dance" to
Glenwood Towers on Tuesday, December 30 at 4:00pm in preparation for his
performance at First Night Raleigh 2009. Armstrong will instruct a variety of dance
lessons for the residents of Glenwood Towers as part of a community outreach
project. The Wade Edwards Foundation is co-hosting the outreach project with
Glenwood Towers. Anyone interested in attending the event should call Melissa
Brigman, the manager at Glenwood Towers, at 508-1229.
Southern String Band will rehearse for their performance at First Night Raleigh on
Tuesday, December 30 at 8:00pm. The band will practice at the home of member
Wade Smith (2613 Wilson Lane, Raleigh). Please call Wade Smith at 787-7680 if you
are interested in attending the rehearsal.
REMINDER:
Buy your admission buttons in advance and save - $9 for adults and children ages 6
and up. Children 5 and under are free. Admission buttons are available at local
Harris Teeter and Rite Aid stores, as well as other local outlets. Buy your button early
for a chance to win one of two $500 Harris Teeter gift cards. At the event, buttons are
$10 for children ages 6-12 and $12 for adults.
