On Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, learn the economic predictions for the region at the 2009 Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Economic Forecast- presented by AICPA, Curtis Media Group, RSM McGladrey, Inc./McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, and Wachovia Bank, NA. From unemployment and job growth, to the housing market and inflation, the discussion will provide information that will help businesses prepare for the coming year.
John Silvia, chief economist with Wachovia Bank, NA, will speak at the 2009 Economic Forecast, along with Matthew Martin, economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Charlotte Branch. Both will share the Triangle's advantages and disadvantages as they present an in-depth discussion of the region's economy.

The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce is the Triangle's largest non-profit business membership organization made up of over 2,700 member firms representing 70 percent of the private sector employment in Wake County. The Chamber has represented the interests of the local business community since 1888.
