RALEIGH, N.C. -
Financial experts are helping people in the Triangle keep their finances on track.
The Literacy Council of Wake County is hosting free money management classes throughout the month of January.
The first class focused on getting out of debit.
"As long as you really get the basics in place: budgeting, saving, putting money away for an emergency fund. You're going to ride out a recession and you're going to ride out a bad economy," said Tracy East, with Consumer Education Services.
The next class will discuss credit and identity theft. Class begins at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at the literacy council office on Morgan Street.
