As development continues to eat up land in North Carolina, what happens to the farmland?
Wake County will host the fourth annual Keeping the Farm workshop on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Wake County Commons Building, 4011 Carya Drive, Raleigh.
This workshop will bring together landowners and experts in the field of agriculture to discuss the challenges and options for farms in the County.
This year's event is a partnership between Wake County's Soil and Water Conservation District, Parks Recreation and Open Space, and the State of North Carolina's agricultural and natural resources agencies.
The event is open to the public.
