What are the secrets of business success in an economic downturn? How do business owners stabilize their businesses during tough times and hold their own? The Johnston Community College Small Business Center will sponsor a free seminar entitled "Business Success in Tough Times" from 10:00 am—12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Attend this seminar to learn how to prepare for and even grow your business when the economic climate is stormy. This event, presented jointly with the Small Business and Technology Development Center at NCSU, will be held at the Johnston County Workforce Development Center, 135 Bestwood Drive, Clayton. Reservations are required, and seating is limited; please call 919-209-2015 to reserve your space.
This program is designed to provide a great deal of information in a short time frame; be prepared to ask questions. A presentation will be given by Dan Blankenship, Business Counselor, Small Business & Technology Development Center, NCSU. After the presentation, a panel of business experts will be available to answer questions. Panelists include Dan Blankenship, SBTDC, NCSU, Raleigh; Jason Hardy, Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager, Capital Bank, Clayton; William Joseph Austin, Jr, Attorney at Law, Ward and Smith, P.A. Raleigh; Steve Carver, owner of Fast Forward Services and former owner of Carver Equipment Company, Dunn, NC; and Rosa Andrews, Director, Small Business Center, JCC.
At the conclusion of the seminar, participants will have an opportunity to schedule appointments with small business service providers, including the SBC and SBTDC.
