It's spring and finally time to get out doors!
For those of you who love a good challenge, the BASF Smile Train Triathlon will be held in Heritage Wake Forest again this summer.
On sunday, June 28 we'll welcome over 300 athletes to our community for a quick 250meter swim at the Heritage Lakes Pool, followed by a nice 12mile bike ride out of Heritage through the back country roads, and finishing up with a 3.1mile run through the hills of northern Heritage.
This is the only triathlon in the world to benefit The Smile Train. You may have heard of them—a documentary titled 'Smile Pinki' recently won an Oscar for "Best Documentary Short" showing the journey a beautiful 6-year-old girl takes as she and her family receive free surgery for her cleft-lip.
Thanks to our sponsors like BASF, Dr. Melissa Davidian, Planetary Nutrition and PowerHome Technologies and the welcoming arms of Heritage Wake Forest, we are once again able to send 100% of our race registration fee directly to The Smile Train.
Additional information is available at www.milesintosmiles.com — we hope to see you there!
