Body Found In Rolesville Identified

ROLESVILLE, N.C. -

Officials have identified the body found in an undeveloped area in Rolesville on Tuesday.

The body has been identified as 30-year-old Ismael Merales-Castro.

Merales-Castro is originally from Tuxtepec, Oaxaco, Mexico but lived in Smithfield, N.C. and has been in the U.S. since 2004.

Rolesville officials said in a press release that family members had reported Merales-Castro missing to the Smithfield Police Department on Wednesday, April 8.

Police are looking for Merales-Castro's 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer, dark grey or charcoal in color with NC license plate number XXN-8404.

Anyone with any information about this investigation is asked to contact the Rolesville Police Department at (919) 556-7226 or the Eastern Wake Crimestoppers at (919) 366-2746.
