RALEIGH, N.C.—NC Magazine, the official magazine of the North Carolina Chamber, has launched a new digital property that will carry into the online world the publication's mission of promoting the power of North Carolina business. NC Magazine and NCMagazine.com are published and maintained by S & A Cherokee, a full-service communications company, on behalf of the Chamber.
NCMagazine.com takes full advantage of the opportunities provided by the Web, including frequent article postings, expanded and supplementary content, video, reader feedback, and the ability to sign up for NC Magazine's new, free weekly e-newsletter. Exclusive content currently on the site includes coverage of the recent North Carolina Chamber Annual Meeting, including Gov. Bev Perdue's address to the attendees.
"We're very excited about the possibilities that NCMagazine.com opens up to us," said NC Magazine Editor Kati Knowland. "We've already gotten some great feedback, and the site will continue to evolve to meet our readers' needs and interests."
NCMagazine.com will present timely and relevant stories and information about the business climate in North Carolina. Visitors to the site will be able to read featured stories, Community Focus profiles, messages from Chamber President and CEO Lew Ebert, business briefs announcements, and profiles of distinguished executives.
The new Web site was built using WebExpress Publisher, Global Media Solution's Drupal-based Web publication and content management system. WebExpress Publisher facilitates such advanced functions as community forums, polls, user ranking/scoring, targeted Web advertising, blogs, syndicated content, social networking, newsletters, photo galleries, podcasting, file uploads/downloads, and more.
NC Magazine highlights the power of North Carolina business and is available as a member benefit from the North Carolina Chamber. Subscriptions are also available for purchase from the Chamber. For more information on the North Carolina Chamber visit www.ncchamber.net or call (919) 836-1400.
