The missing vehicle belonging to a man killed in Rolesville has been located, according to police.
Rolesville officials sent out a press release stating that the missing 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer, belonging to Ismael Merales-Castro, had been recovered during a check point in Robeson County on April 12.
The vehicle was occupied by two adult Hispanic males and four juvenile Hispanic males.
Officers with the St. Pauls Police Department ran the vehicle's tag and discovered it was reported stolen from the Rolesville homicide victim.
The two adult males, 19-year-old Ismael Azua and 19-year-old Ismael Avila, both of Red Springs, were charged by St. Pauls PD for felony possession of stolen property and placed in the Robeson County Jail.
The two subjects identified a third subject from which they had received the vehicle, as 27-year-old Armando Montes Gomez of Sanford, N.C. Gomez had an outstanding warrant in Raleigh for obtaining property by false pretenses from an unrelated investigation. Gomez was arrested on April 16 and charged with the outstanding warrant, felony possession of stolen property and placed under a $125,000 secured bond.
The vehicle was towed back to the City/County Bureau of Identification in Raleigh for forensic examination.
The investigation into the homicide of Ismael Merales-Castro continues. If anyone has any information about this investigation, please contact the Rolesville Police Department at (919) 556-7226 or the Eastern Wake Crimestoppers at (919) 366-2746.
