DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police investigators are asking for information about an armed robbery April 30 at an ATM at Bank of America, 4811 Hope Valley Road.

A woman told officers she was withdrawing cash from the ATM around 11:50 p.m. when a male walked up from behind her vehicle, pointed a gun at her and demanded money. The woman drove away, but the male did steal her ATM card. The victim's stolen ATM card was used later at a local convenience store.

The suspect was wearing a black hoodie and a dark bandana over the lower half of his face.

The robbery is similar to one that occurred at the same ATM around 10 p.m. on April 19. In that case, the suspect was described as a male in his 20s, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall and wearing a hoodie and a dark bandana over the lower part of his face.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Guardino at 560-4583, ext. 29364 or CrimeStoppers at 683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
