HOKE COUNTY, N.C.
Hoke County authorities have arrested and charged a Lumberton man with statutory rape.
Thomas Edward Rowsey, 47, is charged with 13 felony counts of statutory rape with 13, 14, and 15-year-olds from October 2007 until April 2009.
The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office says Rowsey sexual bused the teens while they were in his care. Rowsey has also been charged with 19 felony counts of indecent liberty with a minor.
Rowsey is being held at the Hoke County Jail under a $1 million bond.
