RALEIGH, N.C. -

The strains of Pomp and Circumstance will be echoing through the halls of the Raleigh Convention Center for the next several weeks, as 18 Wake County high schools celebrate commencement ceremonies. Southeast Raleigh High takes the stage Thursday night at 8 p.m.

Since the old convention center was demolished in 2006, most high schools have held graduation exercises at NCSU's Reynolds Coliseum.

Despite the new space, Wake County Public Schools will not allow anyone without an admission ticket to be admitted to a graduation ceremony. No packages or balloons will be permitted.
