Scope out some silly putty as it smacks into the pavement during an event Thursday.
Students will drop a 50-pound ball of silly putty from the roof of the NCSU library onto the campus Brickyard at 3:15 p.m. Thursday.

Organizers say the students are part of an engineering summer camp, the idea is to learn how materials react under strain.
