Wachovia Bank Robber In Custody

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -

Chapel Hill police have a suspect in custody following Thursday morning’s bank robbery at the Wachovia on Banks Drive.

Police have charged George Leavon Gattis with common law robbery.

According to authorities, Gattis went into the Wachovia bank around 10 a.m. Thursday and demanded money.
