  rw, I was thinking the same thing. I once received the same packet. Enclosed was several pieces of paper and a trash bag. Thing was, I didn't throw anything from my window. I just wonder how much money NC wastes by sending that crap out? We pay for the system, envelopes to be stuffed, paper to stuff in the envelopes, and postage. My thoughts? Find out Bev Perdue's plate number and we can all report her. Just imagine... 1000's of "Swat-a-Bug" envelopes flooding her mailbox!

  I think it's a good thing that we can report litterbugs. I applaud the DOT for attempting to enforce this law..if someone is ignorant enough to ignore to litter and disregard simple common sense they should be fined. In my opinion, not enough laws are not enforced in this state. There's definitely not enough police presence... I see people excessively speeding and breaking all kinds of traffic laws on a daily basis. It's absolutely disgusting to me that more rules aren't enforced here, it would be such a great place to live if this place got it's act together.

  I got one of those letters in the mail claiming I had thrown a cigarette butt out my window but I don't smoke. If the DOT has money enough to be sending out these stupid letters, they have too much money and time on their hands and with the budget crunch we have in this state, should be giving some budget money back and our elected officials should be looking at this foolishness.
