A Garner man, 39-year-old James "Junior" Evans, died after a pickup hit his motorcycle near the intersection of N.C. Highway 42 and Rock Service Station Road Tuesday evening, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
The pickup ran a light before hitting Evans and another vehicle, according to the Highway Patrol. The driver, 57-year-old Catherine Girouard from Willow Spring, is charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle.
Alcohol was not a factor in the wreck, the Highway Patrol said.

I totaly agree, she should have gotten more than a misdemenor, she should be made to pay for all the funeral expenses and other damages. He survived the ConAgra explosin, only to have someone come along and take his life because of their reckless driving. Here is a young man only 39 years old leaving behind a family he loved so dearly. It's terrible,James will never see his grandkids graduate high school to become beautiful adults, all because this lady was not paying attention, and to top it off she hit two people not just one. Rest in Peace James you will be missed.
