Raleigh, N.C.—July 17, 2009—The Raleigh-Triangle Chapter of the Executive Women's Golf Association (EWGA) today announced the chapter members who are advancing to the semifinals for the EWGA Championship, considered the largest amateur women's golf competition in the United States. The Chapter Champion was Lissa Dailey who was the overall low net of the day.The Raleigh-Triangle chapter winners will compete in the Carolina Section semi-final championship on July 24 and 25 at Kingsmill Resort on the Woods Course in Williamsburg, Va.Members compete in individual stoke play in five flights based on USGA handicaps and a scramble team competition. Low gross and low net winners in each flight and the winning scramble team then compete in one of 15 semi-final competitions held throughout the United States. The Raleigh-Triangle Chapter Championship was held June 20 at The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge in Pittsboro.
