A man was killed after he was struck and run over by a car two times while riding his bike in Johnston County Thursday night.
According to Highway Patrol, a 52 -year-old man was hit while riding his bike at the intersection of Highway 301 and Bay Valley Road in Kenly around 8:50 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities say he was hit and then run over two more times. Authorities do not have a suspect at this time.
The victim's brother, Roy Watson, said his name was Edward Watson and he rode his bike often around that area. Watson also said his brother did not have a place to live, but stayed with family and friends.
"He came around every day and he was a good fella, everyone knew him. I still don't know what happened. I come up and they say he was hit but nobody told me nothing. I even went downtown to see and they couldn't talk to me right now," Watson said.
Authorities say the incident is still under investigation. They said because Watson did not have a permanent address and was not registered with the DMV, the case will take longer to complete.
