The Town of Garner announces it's new 2009 Summer Concert Series.

The concerts feature a variety of local and regional entertainment for the entire family.

Music genres include Gospel, Jazz, Bluegrass and Latino music. Come out and enjoy an evening of family fun and entertainment. Local non-profit organizations will provide concessions so bring your blanket and chairs to one of the best outdoor musical venues in the Triangle region. Intermission will feature local community performers and groups. Concerts will be held at Lake Benson Park, 921 Buffaloe Road from 6 - 8pm

Thick as Thieves a five piece band from North Carolina consists of Mike Jones on guitar/mandolin/vocals, Bobby Owens on keyboards/vocals, Roy Stewart on guitar/lead vocals, David Savage as drummer/vocals, and Jason Smith on bass/vocals. The group provides a wide variety of music from country, soul, funk, rhythm and blues, and southern rock to beach music. Thick as Thieves is a high energy band that has years of experience, and has opened for numerous acts including Delbert McClinton, Exile, Chubby Checker, Kenny Chesney, and Andy Griggs. Jason Smith, bass player, has also performed on the Grand Ole Opry. Thick as Thieves continue to entertain and bring musical variety to all ages.
