The Apex Police Department will host its annual charity golf tournament on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the Lochmere Golf Club in Cary. The proceeds of the tournament will benefit the Special Olympics North Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run.
Each year law enforcement agencies across the state participate in the Torch Run to raise money for Special Olympics athletes in North Carolina. The money raised helps approximately 37,000 kids and adults, in all 100 counties, participate in Olympic style sporting events. Statewide, our goal is to raise $1.2 million.
