Durham Sheriff Deputies, with the help of the National Guard Air Raid Unit, seized more than 30 marijuana plants from two plots in Durham.
According to Sergeant Tom Cote, with the Durham Sheriff's Office, says a citizen tip led authorities to the plants growing in eastern Durham.
Crews from the air raid unit were sent to search for the plants on Tuesday. The wooded plots were located in the Doc Nichols Road area, according to Sgt. Cote.
The first plot had 23 plants and the second plot contained nine plants. Each plant is approximately worth $5,200 with a net potential of about $169,000.
No arrests have been made in the case, but detectives continue to investigate the case.

What a complete WASTE of valuable law enforcement time and money! Alcohol KILLS 75,000 Americans a year, and addicts 15% of those who use. Cigarettes KILL 450,000 Americans a year, and addict 30% of those who use. Cannabis kills ZERO Americans a year, and can cause dependence in 10% of those who use. It's less addictive, and less dangerous, but POT is the illegal one? Where's the sense in that!? Stop oppressing cannabsi aficionados, legalize it, regulate it, TAX IT!!
