The death of a Fort Bragg soldier found unresponsive in Spring Lake is under investigation by Army authorities.
In a press release from Ft. Bragg officials, 24-year-old Pfc. William E. Long was found unresponsive in is car in Spring Lake on Wednesday morning. He died Thursday afternoon at Cape Fear Regional Medical Center.
Pfc. Long was a Paratrooper with 1st Battalion, 325 Airborne Infantry Regiment and originally from St. Louis, Mo.
No other information was released and the incident remains under investigation.
