RALEIGH, N.C. -

Federal investigators have called a Division of Motor Vehicles analyst to provide details about the monitoring of employee telephone conversations.

A subpoena released Thursday asks technology support analyst Brent Parrish to appear this month before a grand jury that has been handling a wide-ranging probe into former Gov. Mike Easley. Investigators also summoned Parrish to provide documentation of communications with former DMV employees Greg Lockamy, John Robinson, Henry Estes and Jimmy Edwards.

The document also asks for correspondence with former DMV commissioner George Tatum.

The DMV has previously provided investigators with hundreds of documents related to Easley ally McQueen Campbell. It's not clear if the new subpoena is related. Parrish did not return a call seeking comment.
