RALEIGH, N.C. -
Some Triangle hockey fans got a surprise treat with their season tickets Thursday: Carolina Hurricanes players were making hand deliveries.
The team decided to have some fun with some of their strongest supporters.
Carolina Center Eric Staal was busy hitting offices around downtown Raleigh, where there were definitely a few surprised looks.
"It's pretty neat to see the enthusiasm and meet people that are truly excited about our team," said Staal. "It's fun for the players for sure."
The 'Canes open up their season early next month at the RBC Center, taking on the Philadelphia Flyers on Oct. 2.
